Abstract: Areas included in this report are in Madison County, North Carolina, along the French broad River from Deepwater Trestle to the North Carolina-Tennessee state line at Paint Rock Bluffs. USGS 1.5' quadrangles for the area are: Paint Rock, TN-NC; Hot Springs, NC-TN. The study area ranges from 1200' [feet] to 2000' [feet] in elevation, and is in the Southern Section of the Blue Ridge Province of the Appalachian Highlands.
