The rock outcrop was in full sun but the plants were toward the steeper base of the outcropping, presumably where there is shde part of the day. No plants were seen on the exposed level top of the outcrop. All plants were in cracks of the rocks. All were in full bloom or past flowering. The freshest flowers were in shade. All plants were of the scapose form. With Petrophytum nitrophyllum, Erigeron sp. Echinocereus triglochidiatus, on slope was Quercus gambelii, Picea endelmannii,Pseudotsuga menziesii., 32.689192 -109.8751
