Upper slopes and summit rim or orange sandstone-slate flakes in community dominated by Atriplex confertifolia, Gloddopetalon spinescens and Cirsium ownbeyi. Vegetative cover sparse. Rounded, Òhedge-likeÓ shrub with spiny branches. Also found on lower E slope of ridge on brown sandstone outcrops intermixed with Utah juniper woodlands.
