Mature fruiting shrubs, <0.5m tall, scattered throughout much of area S of jeep trail. Annotated 10/16/2019 by AD (if recognized then this is Morella pumila).

Dioecious shrub, ca. 2 m. Leaves evergreen, densely golden-yellow gland-dotted (aromatic). Flowers unisexual, perianth absent. Fruit a pale gray, waxy drupe with a single seed.

Flowers in axillary catkins, unisexual (male), perianth absent. Stamens 3-4.

Google Map
