At the EKU Burn Building you must go through the first closed gate (which you should close behind you). Follow the road to a gravel turn-around loop and park outside the gate (unless the cows are out, in which case park inside the gate). Close the gate behind you! Then cross the wooden bridge near the entrance and take the trail to the right. Take another right and follow the creek to a fork in the trail. Take a left up a hill. There is a large locust tree and a large patch of blackberry bushes and a ton of research pins and flags.
