Shasta, Skunk Ridge 7.5' USGS quad. Found growing on barren, Western, rocky slope at the top of Red Mountain. Found growing with Eriogonum umbellatum, Phlox diffusa, Lewisia kelloggii var hutchisonii, under Abies concolor and Abies magnifica forest with a dense shrub understory of Quercus vacciniifolia and Prunus emarginata. 45% vegetative, 54% fruiting, 1% flowering. 600 plants.
