Curaçao, Grown in cultivation at Desert Botanical Garden, Phoenix, N 33 deg 27' 33'', W 111 deg 56' 35'', 1200 ft, 366 m: accession number 1999-0024-01-2; originally received as a plant from St George Village Botanical Garden of St. Croix - Conrad Fleming as a cultivated plant of known wild origin; Upon further investigation, the following information on this accession was gleaned from Cactus and Succulent Journal (U.S.) Vol. 62(2), March-April 1990; ISI 90-3; A tree-like cactus native only to Curaçao. The stems are 10 cm thick, ribs 8-12, the flowers to 11 cm llong and white to whitish-pink. Plants from seeds collected by B. Trujillo (data will be provided in next year's list for this and other items collected by Trujillo). The collection data was not listed in the 1991 list. Accession notes say that this plant came to DBG from St. George Village Botanical Garden of St. Croix - Conrad Fleming via Edward F. Anderson, August 2021, jbw., 12.167394 -68.989577, 59m
