Peru, Cajamarca, Grown in cultivation at Desert Botanical Garden, Phoenix, N 33 deg 27' 33'', W 111 deg 56' 35'', 1200 ft, 366 m: accession number 1999-0078-01-1; originally received as a plant that was collected by R. Mottram and given by E. F. Anderson who received the plant from someone (R. Mottram?) at Whitestone Gardens in England. An assumption is made that this plant was originally collected in Peru, Cajamarca as all collections seem to come from this area, August 2021, jbw.
