United States, Kentucky, Madison, Eastern Kentucky University Taylor Fork Ecological Area off of Mckenny Skills Drive. Enter the ecological area and head south east toward the bridge. Cross the bridge and head south up the hill staying east on the trail. Once you reach the top of the hill head east at the fork (If you reach the mammal identification sign on the east side of the trail you went too far). The tree is 30 yards ahead on the the north side of the foot trail., 37.714119 -84.295662

From Eastern Kentucky University, take McKinney Skills Drive East, head south on to a gravel road with signs directing towards a Telescope Deck and Taylor Fork Ecological Area, stay on gravel road through cattle gate, to parking loop, go through entrance gate on foot, go east over bridge on to a mowed trail, take the frist trail fork south. Just past the "Mammals" interpretive sign, the area is off of the inside of the trail at the furthest southern point of this part of the trail., 37.713506 -84.296309

Turn S again towards the observatory, and follow that road until you reach the second gate. Inside that gate head follow the trail S over the bridge and follow the trail up the hill.
