United States, North Carolina, Moore, [probably written by H. R. Totten} Mr. Redding says : "Was found at an abandoned nursery between Rockingham and Southern Pines, N.C. about 1937. At that time it was about 3 ft. tall. It is now about 12 - 15 ft. During winter it is just a thorny deciduous tree, and then in the spirng its leaves come out of the thorns. Has never borne any fruit or floers. Never blossomed. It is now growing at home which is about one mile from where it was found."
