Freeman Herbarium (AUA) at Auburn University houses the state's largest collection of dried flowering plants, gymnosperms, ferns, bryophytes, fungi, and lichens. Concentrating on specimens collected in Alabama and the southeastern US over the past one hundred years, we are now diversifying our plant holdings from around the world through exchanges and gifts. This valuable botanical resource provides critical information to students and scientists across many disciplines as well as to the general public. Contacts:
