Much larger than no. 1 [Erodium cicutarium (L.) L'H겮]; stems to 6 dm, the lvs to 3 dm; pinnae tending to be short-stalked, ovate-oblong, 2-4 cm, sharply and shallowly toothed or irregularly shallowly lobed; sep lacking a mucro; anther-bearing filaments with 2 teeth at the enlarged base; fr 3-4 cm; 2n=20. Native of the Mediterranean region, occasionally found as a weed in our range. Apr.-Sept.
