: cauline, crowded near base, palmately compound; petioles 4-12 cm; leaflets 8-10, 10-30 mm, 4-10 mm wide, upper surface glabrous
INFLORESCENCE
: raceme, 2-6 cm; flowers spiraled; peduncle 1-10 cm; bracts 2-4 mm, straight, persistent; pedicels 1-3 mm
Flowers
: 4.5-6 mm; calyx 3-6 mm, lips ± equal; petals dark blue-purple, banner spot yellow, banner centrally grooved, sides reflexed, wing tips slightly fused, keel blunt, glabrous; stamens 10, filaments fused, 5 long with short anthers, 5 short with long anthers; style brushy
Fruit
: legume, dehiscent, 1.5-2 cm, 8-12 mm wide, ovoid, upper suture wavy, densely and stiffly long-ciliate, sides with short, inflated hairs that become scale-like when dry; Seeds 2, wrinkled
