: compound, alternate, stipuled, odd-1-pinnate, 4-16 cm; leaflets 11-23, 5-23 mm, ovate to ± round; stipules membranous, sometimes fused around stem at stem base

: raceme, axillary; flowers 10-45, early ascending, then spreading

: bilateral; calyx 5-lobed, calyx hairs mostly black, some white; petals whitish with keel tip, wing tips purple, banner often lilac-blushed, banner 12.5-18 mm, recurved ± 50 degrees, keel 10.4-16.5 mm; 9 filaments fused, 1 free; ovary (and fruit) generally sessile, style slender, stigma minute

: legume, 20-65 mm, 3.5-8 mm wide, incurved 1/4-full circle, leathery; hairs spreading, wavy; chambers ± 2 in lower half; Seeds 2-many, smooth, hard, compressed, ± notched at attachment scar
