Plants 3-6 dm, ±pubescent, with a few widely spreading branches; stipules lanceolate, those of the lower lvs usually persistent; petioles very stout, 3-6 mm; lfls subcoriaceous, elliptic to oblanceolate, 4-8 cm; racemes usually solitary, 1-2 dm; fls yellow, 20-28 mm; pods ellipsoid, firm-walled, 2-3 cm, tapering to the beak, the stipe to 10 mm.
