LEAVES: mostly oblong, toothed to shallowly lobed, 1-3 cm long, the teeth and lobes with 1 bristle, the distal half also ciliate. FLOWERS: calyx 4-6 mm long, the lobes pilose and glandular; corolla bilabiate, the tube 5-10 mm long, the upper lip with 3 lobes, the lower lip with 2 lobes, the lobes white to deep lavender with maroon streaks at the base of the upper lobes; stamens unequal, curving upward; anthers slightly included to exserted; pollen yellow.
