Family: Asteraceae fineleaf hymenopappus [Hymenopappus pauciflorus I.M. Johnston] Liz Makings	FNA Resources John L. Strother in Flora of North America (vol. 21) Stems 20-35 cm. Leaves: basal axils ± densely tomentose, terminal lobes 2-6 mm; cauline (3-)4-9. Heads 2-15(-30). Peduncles 2-6 cm. Phyllaries 3-6 mm. Florets 10-30; corollas yellowish, 2-3 mm, throats 1-1.6 mm, lengths 2-3 times lobes; anthers 1.6-2 mm. Cypselae 3-4.5 mm, hairs 1-2 mm; pappi 0.5-1.5 mm. 2n = 34. Flowering May-Sep. Sands; 1100-1700 m; Ariz., Colo., Utah.
