More or less intermediate between nos. 16 [Euphorbia corollata L.] and 18 [Euphorbia ipecacuanhae L.], resembling no. 18 early in the season, and no. 16 later; stems dichotomously or trichotomously branched from the base or near it, beginning to bloom when only 1 dm, later growing to 5 dm; lvs lance-linear to oval; involucres long-pediceled from the forks of the stem; appendages white, orbicular to rhombic. Probably not a true species, but instead either a series of hybrids or unusual individuals of 16 and 18. Sandy soil; Md.; reported from s. N.J. to S.C. (Tithymalopsis m.; E. arundelana)
