Zimmerman Herbarium Lomatium orientale is a low herb with compound umbels of small white flowers. The leaves are deeply dissected and the fruits are flattened and glabrous. Lomatium orientale differs from L. nevadense in that the fruits of L. nevadense are pubescent. Vascular plants of NE US and adjacent Canada Much like no. 1 [Lomatium foeniculaceum (Nutt.) J. M.
