Fls 5-merous, 4-5 mm, sessile in small dense clusters; bracts 3-5, closely appressed, broadly rounded and commonly wider than long, the inner progressively longer; cor-lobes ovate, obtuse; styles 0.7-2 mm; stigma capitate; fr ovoid to globose, 3-5 mm thick, not beaked, indehiscent, 1-2- seeded, the withered cor calyptrate at the top. On hosts mostly of low ground. Hosts of my species are as follows; 3 on Campsis radicans, 5 on Cephalanthus occidentalis, 2 on Rhus radicans; 1 on Salix, 2 on Sassafras albidum, and 1 on Vitis cinerea.
