Much like no. 8 [Gentiana andrewsii Griseb.]; cal-lobes foliaceous, broadly lanceolate to obovate, two-fifths to five-sixths as wide as long; cor-lobes prolonged beyond their adnation to the plaits into firm, ovate or oblong, rounded lobes, the plaits about as long as the cor-lobes, shallowly 2-3-toothed or -lobed; 2n=26.
