Freely branching annual to 7 dm; lf-segments 5-10 mm; umbels lax, with 3-6 rays to 3 cm; bractlets lance-linear, reflexed, 2-3 mm; fr glabrous, linear, the body 5-6 mm, the beak 2-3 mm; 2n=18. Native of Europe, occasionally escaped from cult. in e. U.S. May-July. (Cerefolium c.)
