Stems slender, freely branched, often ascending or decumbent, finely pubescent with spreading glandular hairs; lf-blades shorter than to twice as long as the petiole, ovate, 1-3 cm, broadly rounded to subcordate at base, coarsely serrate, rarely as many as 10 teeth on a side; racemes few-fld; lower bracts resembling foliage lvs and scarcely smaller, the upper progressively reduced; cal glandular-villous; cor 15-20 mm.
