Lfls serrate with comparatively coarse teeth averaging 2-3 per cm of margin; lfls of upper lvs mostly lanceolate; rays 4-10, rarely more, at maturity slender, loosely spreading, the longest 6-12 cm; fr round-ovate, 3-4 mm, two-thirds as wide; otherwise much like no. 1 [Zizia aurea (L.)
