Much like no. 6 [Utricularia radiata Small], but much larger; floats 3-8 (commonly 5) cm, usually thickest well beyond the middle, with finely dissected branches in the distal half; peduncles 10-25 cm; bracts 3-4 mm, longer than wide, never lobed; lower pedicels often 3 cm; fls mostly 6-14(-17); sep 4-7 mm; lower lip 10-15 mm, not lobed; 2n=18, 36. Ponds along the coastal plain; Del. and N.J. to Fla. and Tex. May-July.
