Brickellia microphylla var. scabra A. Gray
Family: Asteraceae rough brickellbush [Brickellia microphylla subsp. scabra (Gray) W.A. Weber, more] Max Licher	FNA Resources Randall W. Scott in Flora of North America (vol. 21) Stems glandular-viscid. Peduncles glandular-viscid. Involucres 7-11 mm. Florets 8-13. 2n = 18. Flowering Jul-Oct. Dry rocky places, canyon walls, sand dunes, washes; 1200-2400 m; Ariz., Colo., Nev., Utah, Wyo.; Mexico. Variety scabra has a more eastern and southern distribution than var. microphylla; it grades into var. microphylla in southern and central Utah.
