Rarely escapes from cult., as in N.J. and Pa. It has broad, toothed exstipulate lvs, hairy on both sides, veined as in spp. 1-4, pedunculate umbelliform cymes, a glabrous stylopodium, and bright red frs.

Diagnostic Traits: leaves with 5-8 pairs of pinnate veined, the veins +/- straight and sparingly branched, ending in marginal tooth; leaves widest at or below middle; petioles >5 mm; stipules absent; bud scales present; inflorescences convex, their branches from a single point; fruits orange-red.
