Cor funnelform, nearly regular, 5-lobed; stamens 5, barely exsert; hypanthium slender, prolonged above the bilocular, multiovulate ovary into a persistent beak; style elongate, exsert; stigma capitate; fr a conic or slender septicidal capsule; low shrubs with opposite, serrate lvs and yellow fls in terminal or subterminal cymes. 3, N.
