Leaves: petioles narrowly winged; blades narrowly obovate, elliptic, lanceolate, or spatulate, sometimes runcinate, 0.5-3.5 cm wide, margins entire or toothed to pinnately lobed (lobes or teeth remote, not prominently white-tipped), faces glabrous or hispidulous. Heads 1-12. Involucres 8-10 mm. Phyllaries lanceolate, strongly stipitate-glandular, apices acute. Cypselae dark brown, 3.5-7.5 mm, tapered, not beaked; pappi 4-6 mm. 2n = 22.
