Lip commonly with pronounced basal dilation, sometimes lateral margins elaborated along axes, diverging forward and forming lobules, 6-10 mm; spur clavate to slightly capitate, 2-7 mm (markedly shorter than lip), apex obtuse; viscidia linear-oblong to oblong. 2n = 42. Flowering Jun--Aug. Wet meadows, tundra, marshes, fens, stream banks, shores, ditches, seeping slopes, roadsides; 0--3700 m; Alta., B.C., Yukon; Alaska, Colo., Idaho, Mont., Nev., Oreg., Utah, Wash., Wyo.
