Bulbs 1-2 × 1.3-2 cm. Scape 18-54 cm. Flowers: tepals: outer 3-5 mm, inner 4.5-6.5 mm, margins entire or ± irregular, apex acute; anthers mostly yellow; stigma obscurely 3-lobed; pedicel 10-22 mm. 2n = 14.

Flowering late Jun--Aug. Heavy serpentine clay; 700--1400 m; Calif., Oreg.
