Peduncles and invol silky, not glandular, or the invol glandular above; invol 8-12 mm; rays mostly ca 13, 7-12 mm; disk-fls 30-50, the dry cors 6.5-9 mm; 2n=36. Nearly the range of the sp. (Heterotheca g.; Pityopsis g.)
