Leaf blade ± terete, straight, equaling or shorter than scape, 0.5-1 mm wide. Scape 15-25 cm. Umbel compact, 10-45-flowered; spathe bracts 2, apex acuminate. Flowers 6-7(-8) mm; tepals white or pale pink, often with green or deep pink midveins; pedicel 5-14 mm. 2n = 14.

Flowering Apr--May. Rocky, sandy, or clay soils; 800--1300 m; Calif.

Allium lacunosum var. kernensis is known only from the southern Sierra Nevada.
