Leaves 15-25 × 1.5-3 cm; marginal teeth 4-6 mm; apical spine brown to whitish, slender, 4-8 cm. Scape 2-4 m. 2n = 60. Flowering late winter--early summer. Calcareous outcrops with desert scrub; 1200--1900 m; Calif., Nev.
