Family: Polygonaceae [Aconogonon newberryi (Small) Soják]	FNA Resources Harold R. Hinds+, Craig C. Freeman in Flora of North America (vol. 5) Stems pubescent, rarely glabrescent. Leaf blades 2.1-7.5(-9.5) × 1.1-5 cm, base truncate or, rarely, cordate, faces pubescent, rarely glabrescent. Pedicels 0.5-1.7(-2.4) mm, glabrous. Perianths 2-4.5 mm. 2n = 20. Flowering Jun-Aug. Steep subalpine slopes, volcanic fell fields, often on talus or pumice; 1200-3100 m; Calif., Idaho, Oreg., Wash.
