Plant: perennial herb; 4-9 dm tall, glabrous Leaves: oblong-linear to linear, the lower ones 3-7 cm long, 4-9 mm wide, the upper ones 3-7 cm long, 1-2 mm wide INFLORESCENCE: a terminal, compound cyme Flowers: calyx lobes ovate to linear, 2-7 mm long; corolla tube 13-19 mm long, broadest below the apex, only slightly constricted at the orifice, the lobes 5-10 mm long Fruit: terete, 2-10 cm long.
