Plant: perennial herb; Polygamous, hispid with long spreading hairs. STEMS 20-35 cm long from woody bases Leaves: 4 per node, 7-15 mm long, narrowly to broadly elliptical, narrowed to a petiolar base; stipule leaves a little smaller than true leaves Flowers: small in congested, bracteate panicles; corollas more or less hispid externally, the apices short to moderately long, sordid yellow Fruit: FRUITS ca. 1 mm wide, the hairs short, straight Misc: At base of steep cliffs, and in rock crevices; 1150-1900 m (3800-6200 ft); Jul-Nov REFERENCES: Dempster, Lauramay T. 1995.
