Inflorescences axillary, sessile, 1-5-flowered. Flowers bisexual; perianth 3(-5)-lobed, herbaceous; stigmas 3; stamen 1. Fruiting structures: utricle globose, exceeding perianth at maturity; pericarp free from seed, green, membranous, dehiscence circumscissile.
