Hypanthium broadly cup-shaped; sep 5, soon reflexed; pet 5, elliptic-ovate; stamens numerous; carpels 5, distinct, with elongate, clavate style, capitate stigma, and several ovules; follicles dehiscent on both sutures; shrubs with stipulate, pinnately compound lvs and small white fls in large panicles. 10, N.
