Vascular plants of NE US and adjacent Canada
Panicle scabrous; first glume 1.9-2.8 mm, the second 2.4-4.3 mm; lemmas 5.2-6.8 mm, abruptly rounded into a short cusp; callus glabrous. More western, Ind. to S.D., Kans., and Tex. Perhaps better treated as D. obovata (Gleason) D. M. Brandenburg.
