Fruits horizontal to divaricate or slightly reflexed, often incurved, sometimes straight, (0.8-)1.5-2.5(-3.3) cm. 2n = 26. Flowering Jul-Aug. Canyons, desert shrub communities, alkaline flats; 1000-2500 m; Ariz., Colo., N.Mex., Utah.
