Vascular plants of NE US and adjacent Canada
Cal broadly cup-shaped, rather shallowly bilabiate, each lip minutely toothed; standard suborbicular, reflexed; wings elliptic, auriculate on one side at base; keel-pet curved beneath; stamens 10, monadelphous in a closed tube; filaments alternately long with minute anthers and short with linear ones; style curved throughout its length; pods elongate, flat, several-seeded; unarmed shrubs with green twigs, 1-3-foliolate lvs (or lfless), minute or no stipules, and conspicuous yellow (white) fls. 33, Old World.
