Much like Oenothera (and often included therein), but the stigma peltate, entire or often very shallowly and broadly 4-lobed, the receptive surface above-within; sporogenous tissue divided into packets in each microsporangium. (Meriolix, Salpingia) 6, w. N. Amer.
