Stems (5-)10-15(-30) cm. Heads 1(-2), held well beyond basal leaves. Involucres 4.5-6.5 × (10-)12-14(-17) mm. Phyllaries moderately to densely villous (hairs mostly 1-2 mm), sometimes sparsely minutely glandular. Rays: laminae (5-)6-8. Disc corollas 2.5-3.5 mm. Cypselae 1.7-2.2 mm; pappi of 16-26 bristles 2.5-3.5 mm.
