Leaves: petiole short stipitate-glandular or sparsely long stipitate-glandular; blade pen-tagonal, deeply lobed. Inflores-cences short stipitate-glandular. Flowers: hypanthium hemi-spheric, 1-3.5 × 1-3.5 mm (1 times long as wide), short stipitate-glandular; sepals 0.5-1.5 mm, apex broadly rounded; petals 0.4-1.4 mm wide; styles 1.2-3.9 mm.

Variety macropetala is known from the Klamath and Siskiyou mountains.
