Sandhill with scrub oaks, longleaf pine, and scrub brush nearby. Forty to fifty plants covering an area approx 150 ft in diameter. Plants only noticed in the past few years. Initially may have been planted by a volunteer camper, but now reproducing and spreading. Erect bulbiferous herbs ranging from 3-10 ft tall. Leaves angled upwards. Most stems with 1-3 flowers, some with up to 5-6. Flowers held horizontally to slightly angled upwards. Flower buds pale green with pale reddish lines. Corolla white, with a mild fragrance. Tepal lobes recurved. Outer tepals with pale reddish midrib on outer surface. Basal portion of inner tepals with pale green midrib on inner surface. Anthers yellow, becoming brown. Style greenish0white. Stigma pale green. 29.74796, -82.47492.
